Redi-Gril® Grill Scrapers – Replacement Blades

We have replacement blades for both the Heavy Duty and Mini Redi-Gril Scrapers. The blades for the Heavy Duty are 6" wide and the blades for the Mini are 4.5" wide.

How long should my Redi-Gril blades last?

Depending on frequency of use, keeping the blades clean, and with an ability to sharpen, the blades will last anywhere from 1 to 6 months. Replacement blades are relatively cheap and easy to get, so most operators simply trade out for a fresh blade at the first opportunity.

Cleaning a Commercial Grill

A commercial grill needs to be cleaned or scraped frequently in order to maintain cooking efficiency and prevent flavor transfer. The following are tips for properly cleaning a commercial grill.

• After each use, scrap the grill clean with a grill scraper, like the Redi-Gril Heavy Duty grill scraper, each time cooked food is removed.

• After each day, remove and empty the grease container and clean the grease trough. Also, clean the grill surface with a grill brick. While the grill is still warm, rub the grill with a grill brick. For stainless steel, rub in the direction of the grain to not damage the surface.

• Once a week, allow the grill to cool completely and clean the grill plate with a food-service-grade degreaser. Avoid using soap and water as it can affect the flavor of food. After the weekly cleaning is a good time to re-season the grill if it needs it. Otherwise, coat the grill plate with a thin film of cooking oil to prevent rust.

tighter areas on the grill. Replacement blades are available.

Designed for use on flat top grills, the Mini grill scraper is tough enough to remove burnt residue left over from virtually all types of food products. The Mini Scraper has a 4.50 inch (11.00 cm) blade. It features a splash guard to protect the operator.
